  • Condition: Excellent I see no crazing but there is uneveness in the setting of a tile where edge raises above the others which I can feel and see when viewing from the side but not in normal viewing.(I can send picture) In general the tiles are not all that perfectly set to begin with and I'm thinking in 1966 not many of these expensive Wall Plaque Tile Paintings were made so not much Tile setting going on at the factory. Frame quite heavy and fantastic but there is a crack and a bit of loss in wood on top side miter from shrinkage (which solid wood does) nothing serious and has been glued and clamped (I can send picture).

    Full sized Delft paintings like this in this
    size are still made by the factory and are
    around 4500-5800 Euro unframed.
    On the secondary market when found these
    Wall Plaques are almost always old ones
    with varying
    degrees of crazing
    but if
    you were preferring
    one
    with no crazing
    the choice was either new
    or a
    more recent
    pre-owned
    one which are very rare.
    This 56 year old beauty is one of those.
    Painting quality is superb I could have
    swore that this was an old one.
